Enjoy the Mental and Emotional Benefits of Being Active During Men’s Health Month

June is Men’s Health Month! In honor of this annual observance, it’s important that men understand that regular physical activity offers so much more than six-pack abs and bulging biceps. Routine activity can enhance both your mind and spirit. According to the Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans, when adults are active 30 minutes a day for at least five days per week it can lead to significant health benefits. It can also increase cognitive functioning, mental clarity, and mental stamina. And various types of activity can increase testosterone production and release endorphins, allowing men to feel vibrant and more mentally focused, which is particularly important as men age.
