Donna Richardson Joyner*

Donna Richardson JoynerDonna Richardson Joyner*, a member of the President's Council on Fitness, Sports & Nutrition, is recognized as one of the top fitness gurus in the world. She is a former National Aerobics Championship silver medalist and is a member of the National Fitness Hall of Fame. She has starred in over 25 award winning videos including her recent Sweating in the Spirit series with live performances by Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams, and Shirley Murdock as well as the best selling Buns of Steel. Richardson Joyner established the Donna R Joyner Foundation which is dedicated to the education, health, and wealth of children, women, and families. She is the creator of GROW Green, Get Fit, an outreach program that educates and empowers schools and universities on how to grow "Gardens of Hope", eat healthier, become physically active, and give back to their communities. Additionally, she has just been appointed as a spokesperson for the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA); she is the first African American and non- professional golfer to be given this honor.

Richardson Joyner is no amateur to serving on the President’s Council as she was appointed by President Bush to serve on the Council in 2006 and was a delegate to the 2007 Pan American games held in Rio. She is the author of Let's Get Real: Exercise Your Right to a Healthy Body! and a guest columnist for Ebony and Gospel Today magazines. Richardson Joyner is also producer and host of the Donna Richardson Mind, Body & Spirit Show, which airs on TV One, and the Sweating in the Spirit program on the Word Network. She was also the former co‐host for the ESPN Fitness Pro's Show and fitness expert on the NBC Weekend Today Show. She has been a featured speaker with Pantene Total You and with Tavis Smiley's Eliminating Childhood Obesity Tour, and has also broken the Guinness Book of World Records for the world's largest line dance coordinating over 50,000 participants.
